We want to thank all of the Centre County residents who generously supported Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund during this year’s Centre Gives Campaign. Thanks to our Centre County friends, Bob Perks Fund was awarded $17,072.78 through Centre Gives, including the charitable support of Linda and Blake Gall, who matched-the-match awarded by this amazing annual event.
The money raised during Centre Gives is dedicated to helping the residents of Centre County struggling with cancer to help them with the basic necessities such as rent, utilities, car payments, gas to travel to treatments, and the extra nutritional requirements for cancer patients undergoing treatment. In 2022, BPF helped 83 individual patients and their families, by awarding nearly $60,000 BPF grants to cancer patients help to ease the burden of their financial struggle that often is a result of a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our goal is to help a patient to focus on their treatment and recovery and less on financial worries.
Thank you again Centre County residents for your generous support in 2023 and making a difference in the lives of your neighbors fighting cancer.
